USW to form part of Wales's new Public Policy Institute

The University of South Wales, together with Swansea, Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Bangor and Liverpool, has been successful in its application to deliver on the Welsh Government’s commitment to deliver a Public Policy Institute for Wales (PPI). This Institute will offer advice to Ministers on key aspects of policy right across the sphere, including health, transport, education, agriculture and so on. The PPI will be officially launched next Monday in Cardiff.

Professor Catherine Farrell is the University’s representative on the Executive group and is currently pulling together the expertise within the University which could contribute to the work of the Public Policy Institute. She will be using the database supplied by colleagues for media expert commentary, the Expert Bank.
