The Centre for Social Policy brings together the academic community and professionals working in public services. It is focused on bringing about service improvements and contributing fresh thinking, new evidence and innovative policy solutions to public service organisation and delivery.
In addition to its core staff, the centre includes affiliates and also external fellows.
The Centre includes individuals who are experienced public service professionals working in senior government and political roles. These colleagues are can offer the highest level of advice and support to organisations and individuals seeking to effect change and also offer fresh and innovative thinking. The Centre for Social Policy brings individuals and organisations together in new ways and challenges existing practices in a positive way.
The Centre for Social Policy will also have a visiting External Fellowship scheme which will bring in academics from across the UK and internationally to contribute to its activities. We anticipate that the Fellows will develop 'new ideas’ papers and present these to professionals and policy makers on and off campus. Fellows will be leading scholars or practitioners in their fields and their contribution to the Centre will bring in new dimensions annually.
